VRM Introduces New Owner Markups Functionality

Watch over the next few days for the release of Virtual Resort Manager’s brand new Owner Markups feature within the Enhanced Discount Functionality. This new release answers several of the requests we received when we processed the survey we circulated to our clients earlier this year, and will improve many aspects of pricing and distribution of reservation proceeds.

With the new release, you will now be able to send markup funds through the owner account as rent, with the commission taken off this total. While this seems like a simple change, the implications are in fact quite large, especially with regard to revenue management (airline type) pricing.

It also can allow you to more flexibly regulate holiday markups, temporary changes in rent, and even in some cases might allow you to reduce the number of seasons you are now employing. The functionality also allows you to incorporate discounts and markups by day of the week, which can simplify the application of weekend rates and mini-weeks.
