3.2 - Property Configuration

Property Configuration

When you log in to the Welcome Home Dashboard, you will notice a list of six options in blue  as well as 3 tabs at the top of the page. You can use either of these to navigate to the ‘Property Configuration’ section of Welcome Home. (Remember the ‘Property Configuration’ section is where you can enter information specific to a property that guests can only view through Guest Extranet.)

To open up the ‘Property Configuration’ section either click on the blue text that says ‘Property Configuration’ OR select the ‘Guest Extranet’ tab at the top of the page and then click on the ‘Property Configuration’ tab.

Once you have the ‘Property Configuration’ screen open, select the office that the property you want to add information about is associated with from the ‘Office’ dropdown menu.

Then select the property from the ‘Property’ dropdown menu.

When you have opened the Property Information screen for a specific property, under the ‘Office’ dropdown menu, you will notice a blue button that says ‘Assign Messages’. This button will be used to assign the Event Messages you create to this property. (More on this in section  3.4.4.2 - Applying an Event Message to a Single Property through 'Property Configuration'  .) To the right of the blue button, there is an ON/OFF toggle switch. This switch controls whether or not the information entered on this screen is going to be passed to the Guest Extranet. In order for anything to show up, the switch has to be turned to ‘ON’. (In addition to having the switch turned ON for the specific property, the switch also has to be set to ‘ON’ at the office level under ‘Office Configuration’.)

The property information displayed under the blue ‘Assign Messages’ button is pulled directly from your database, and can only be edited there.

Under the property information, you will notice a text editor with the heading ‘Guest Extranet Additional Property Information’. This is where you can enter the property information that will be displayed in the Guest Extranet.

Property Configuration Screen - WYSIWYG Editor for Property Information

Examples of things you might use this area to communicate are username/password information for the internet, codes for accessing the community pool or fitness center, trash pick-up days, etc. Basically anything that is specific to this property that guests staying in it need to know, but that you do not want to put on your company’s main website for everyone to see. You have access to a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor to create your text. As the name implies, how it displays on your screen will be how it displays to the guest. You have the option to add pictures or links if you would like to do so. To preview your work before you save it, click the eye icon in the WYSIWYG tool bar.

Once you have entered the information, click ‘Save Changes’. As long as the toggle switches in the ‘Office Configuration’ and the ‘Property Configuration’ are set to ‘ON’, clicking on the ‘Save Changes’ button will send the information to the Guest Extranet.
