3.5.1.3 - Choose Guests

Choose Guests

 
After determining the Category and Message Type, the next thing to do is to select the type of guests you want to receive your message. Your choices for Email Message are ‘Guests Currently Checked In’, ‘All Welcome Home Guests’, ‘Guests Checking In’, ‘Guests Checking Out’, or ‘Reservation ID’. If you select ‘All Welcome Home Guests’, you will be sending the message to all the guests in your Welcome Home system. If you choose ‘Guests Checking In’ or ‘Guest Checking Out’, fields will display for you to fill in the dates of the check ins or check outs. The ‘Reservation ID’ choice is used if you need to send a message to one guest. (If you decided to send an SMS/Test Message, you do not have the choice of sending the message to ‘All Welcome Home Guests’.)
 
For our example, we are going to pick ‘For Guests Currently Checked In’ because we don’t need to send firework information to guests who are not checked in at the time the message goes out.

Remember that ‘Financial’ messages can only be sent to a specific reservation. If you selected ‘Financial’ as the Message Category, you will not have the normal list of choices for guests to send it to. Instead, you will have a field to enter a reservation number.
