Reservation Event
You can choose from four different events to tie your
message to: ‘Check In Date’, ‘Check Out Date’, ‘Any Payment’, and ‘Reservation
Cancelled’. ‘Housekeeping’ is a
sub-option under ‘Check In Date’. These
options are pretty much straight forward, with the exception of the ‘Housekeeping’
sub-option.
If you check the ‘Housekeeping’ box, it means you want
the message to be tied to the fact the property has had its status changed to
‘Is Clean’ in the Housekeeping module and therefore it is ready for check-in. (Clicking on the
question mark icon to the right of the ‘Housekeeping’ option will open an
explanation of the ‘Housekeeping’ box.)
When you are selecting the Reservation Event to
tie your Event Message to, think about all the reservations in your system to
be sure the event and timing will work for all situations. The idea behind creating an ‘Event Message’
is that is it going to be sent any and every time the ‘Reservation Event’ and ‘Timing’
you enter occur.
For our example message, we know we need to send it before the guest checks in, so we will select ‘Check In Date’.
